My opinion about traditional and online schooling is that traditional schooling is more effective than online because it highlights the interpersonal qualities of someone.
Over the years online schooling have expand since is more freely to attend, meaning that one is not tied down to when you have to go to bed or wake up for class, you can have any work schedule and on your free time work on your studies. Also one can spend more time with the family and friends, but in my opinion, the most important fact is that you can learn at your own pace.
All these pros sound good but when the time comes to interact with strangers it will be difficult to conduct a productive conversation due to the lack of communication skills with others. Also you will not be able to meet with the professor/instructor face to face, as consequence it will be hard to develop a professor-student relation. He will be the person you know where to turn to when looking for ideas about your career or someone to help you choose another class.
Online education can be cheaper, because you save money on gas and housing, but having an efficient education is greater than reducing costs. Other point taken is that if someone is a compulsive web surfer, then it will be a serious problem trying to resist the temptation to leave the class session online and do such thing.
On the other hand, the traditional schooling we can develop the respect for others as well as the responsibility, as you have to get to class, turn in assignments and meet with your classmates on time.
